Fall is without a doubt my favorite season of the year. I love the light, the colors, the crispness and chill in the air, and I love being able to wear a sweatshirt or hoodie without roasting. I enjoy the anticipation of the holidays, the hayrides, bonfires, apple cider, and fall flavored offerings at restaurants and coffee shops across the St. Louis, MO area. I also love fall family photos!
The colors are incredible and I love the layers that you are able to pull off without melting into a sweat puddle. That's why I was super excited to have the chance to work in a quick mini-session with Jacob, Maureen, Autumn, and Nora last week. The length of the session ended up being perfect because, according to Jacob, anything over 30 minutes can go downhill pretty quickly and if there is something you don't want showing up in photos it's a good mood gone "downhill!"
We showed up a Creve Coeur Lake expecting a bit warmer weather, but temperatures had dropped a bit and a brisk breeze was meandering around the lake so getting finished up quickly was a priority. We set up a very cool chair that Maureen found and got busy!
30 minutes and a quick walk along the lake later, we were finished and had captured some great photos of this beautiful (and ruggedly handsome in Jacob's case) family.
